Recap

First off, I would like to apologize for abandoning my blog for a while. School was hard. Nuff said.

Secondly, I would like to apologize to the kid from a previous post Computer Savvy. Here is the rest of the story. He decided to do his presentation a different day since he lost his PowerPoint file. On that day, he came into class and still seemed to have a little bit of a hard time finding his presentation but nothing compared to the last time. I'm pretty sure everyone in the class was expecting this kid to be pretty stupid and have a pretty stupid presentation. Well, he starts talking and throwing out all this information he just knew without looking at his notes. It was easily the best presentation that was given this semester. After his presentation, he asked if anyone had any questions. It was completely silent. I think everyone was trying to understand what had just happened. I know all of the people around me were completely shocked by how well he did. Soo....I would like to apologize to "Sean" for thinking he was an idiot.

My BFF

This is my BFF Steph. She moved home (Salt Lake) today and I'm pretty bummed about it. Up until last  week I was planning on moving to Salt Lake too. I haven't been friends with her for a long time but she came into my life when I felt I was a little confused. She has been a positive influence on me and I'm super glad we're friends. She is someone that I accidentally end up telling every thing to whether I want to or not. She's so easy to talk to and I could talk to her for hours (and do). She is soo funny and I'm glad we're BFF's. I just thought you guys should know :) Love you Steph

Computer Savvy

Sorry for neglecting you blog world. I've been super busy with school-which brings me to the topic of this post. I am graduating in 26 days. Most of the people in my classes are close to graduating as well.

So, with that in mind I'll start my story. We have to give short presentations in my Investments class. A couple of weeks ago it was time for "Sean" to give his presentation. He was dressed up all snazzy and seemed ready to roll. He logged onto the computer and searched around, looking through files.

Sean: Where do I find my presentation if I saved it to the desktop?
Jared (a fellow classmate): The desktop in the investments lab?
Sean: Yeah
Jared: *Chuckle* On the desktop in the investments lab. *chuckle*

Haha. Yeah, he saved his presentation to the desktop in the investments lab and hoped it would have been saved to the desktop in our classroom?

Long story short, his presentation got erased. Bless his little heart. He must have cheated his way through  CSIS.

Best Job

Being a custodian has its pros and cons. Wait, no, it just has its cons. Cleaning up after people gets really old and annoying. This weekend was High School Shakespeare, my least favorite weekend. The high school drama kids are ridiculously messy. Fortunately, my boss was out of town which means I'm in charge. That might not sound that bad but yesterday was a miserable day. My boss called me around 11:30 to clean up throw up. Any of you that know me, know I have the weakest gag reflexes. The instant I walked around the corner, I started dry heaving and tearing up. It was a miserable experience but I made it through. A couple of hours later, I got a call asking if I would go unclog a toilet and clean up the floor. That too wasn't pleasant but I made it through that too. A few hours after that, another call came saying someone threw up in the lobby of one of our buildings.
I took that photo so my boss would feel bad for me but then thought my blog followers might enjoy seeing it too. Yeah, you're welcome! The white area is where the throw up was. It took two cans of that absorbing powder to cover all of it. Notice how it's all up on the wall too. Props to the girl that made this mess. It was impressively messy and gross. I think it goes without saying but just in case you didn't notice, I'm pretty hardcore.

I NEED this!

I've always wondered how I would put toothpaste on my toothbrush if I broke my arm. Luckily, I was watching TV a few weeks ago and saw this AMAZING invention. I ALWAYS squeeze toothpaste all over the sink. It is so annoying!

Expect one for Christmas. I absolutely love mine!

PIZZA SLAP!!

Slapping someone with a piece of pizza has been a dream of mine (and my friend Mitchell's) for quite a few years. We were always scared to do it though because we didn't need any more grease on our faces causing us to break out. He was in town the other day and we decided to just do it. We went to Little Caesars and picked up a hot and ready pizza. We drove to the top of the parking garage and started slapping away.

We were laughing so hard we were crying. It was such a fun night. If we're friends on Facebook you should check the video out, it might be funny. Now go out and try it!

Glass

I clean a lot of glass at my job. Some times I wonder what people are doing that makes the glass get so dirty. Example: There are always water marks on the mirrors in the bathroom. How does that happen? Are there people pretending they're on Neutrogena commercials? Are they washing their hands so out of control that they can't control the splashing? It doesn't make sense to me.

The other thing I don't understand is why people need to open doors by pushing the glass. There are handles for a reason. Yesterday, I washed one side of some double doors. I moved to the other side and some people walked past me. I looked back at the glass I had just cleaned and there was a perfect handprint. I laughed because it seemed as though the kid did it on purpose. Some times people even get their face prints on the glass. They must be opening the doors like this:
Next time you're walking through some doors, before you push on the glass, remember that there are people like me that hate cleaning off handprints.

Cami Secret

I saw this on TV today. I laughed out loud. Watch this video:

That boss is begging for a sexual harassment claim. I placed my order. Can't wait to end my skanky-ness.

Sketch-swap

While surfing the internet yesterday, I came upon this website: Sketch-swap. You draw a sketch, submit it and get one someone else drew in return. I quickly drew a robot and what I received surprised me.
I laughed out loud when I saw it. I guess it was better than I was expecting. It was super hard for me to draw with my laptop so my picture had shaky edges. I was impressed with the pictures I got in return and felt bad for the people that got mine because I'm really NON artistic. Check it out some time. It's fun!

Who did this?

I saw this sign at work last week:
I thought it was really funny that it was such a problem they needed to make numerous signs to stop it. This is Shakespeare at it's finest.

Blind

My eyes are getting worse. I am so lazy about wearing my glasses. For some reason they slip down my nose and I have to constantly push them up or just look over them like I'm a librarian. I get headaches all the time because they put too much pressure on my head. Some day when I'm rich I'll get LASIK surgery...but until then, I'll just have to deal with this:

Thought vomit

This is going to be my blog dedicated to my random thoughts and feelings. It might be good or it might be boring. I might blog often or very rarely. Only time will tell...
